William James Anderson (1972 - 2017) was a Scottish Politician who served as Leader of the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) and Leader of Her Majesty's Opposition from January 2017 until Mid-January 2017. He is the second cousin of Labour Leader Adam Lloyd.
In his time as a Member of the Scottish Parliament, he backed the Independence Referendum, as he was with the SNP, and following the previous First Minister's resignation, he became Acting First Minister of Scotland.
After a change of views by UKIP MP's, he became a Member of Parliament for Bridgewater & Northern Somerset, his new area where he resided. He was a key contributor in the House of Commons and then went on to be elected as the Leader of the UK Independence Party following the resignation of the previous Leader.
After becoming Leader, he was appointed Leader of the Opposition for his short time in the role.
Will Anderson disappeared and has not been seen since his last House of Commons session, he is feared dead, but nothing has been confirmed.
