Lt Col His Grace, Robert Albert William George Campbell, 13th Duke of Argyll CH PC CBE (born 12 March 1962) styled Earl of Campbell and Cowall from 1962 to 1982, Marquess of Kintyre and Lorne from 1982 to 1998 and the 13th Duke of Argyll since 1998, is a British aristocrat, member of the House of Lords and the current holder of the Duchy of Argyll.
Early life
Campbell was born in Inveraray Castle, in 1962. He is the older son of the 12th Duke of Argyll, Albert Campbell, and the Dowager Duchess of Argyll, Lady Mary Wellesley. He is also the older brother of the late politician and surgeon, Lord Arnold Campbell (b. 5th May 1963 - d. 26th March 2016) and Lady Evangeline Bridgeman (b. 1967), the Dowager Countess of Bradford.
In 1984, Campbell married the daughter of the 9th Duke of Richmond, Lady Helen Gordon-Lennox. They had two children:
- Albert "Bertie" Campbell, Marquess of Kintyre and Lorne (b. 31st March 1987)
- Henry Campbell, Lord Henry (b. 3rd April 1990)
He is the grandfather of Charles Campbell, son of Albert Campbell and Alice Aldridge. Charlie was born in 2015 and is the heir presumptive to the duchy. Due to being the son of the Marquess of Lorne, he gets styled as The Earl of Campbell and Cowall.
Military Career
He joined the Royal Artillery in 1986 (19th Regiment Royal Artillery) and retired from active service in 2015 as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Politics
He joined the Conservative Party at the young age of 18, in 1980. In 1998, after his father's death, he assumed his role of member of the House of Lords, sitting in the Conservative benches. Nowadays, he still detains the position of member, alongside Conservative Party Privy Councillor.

He was part of Samuel Faith's campaign in 2016 and became Chairman and Lords Leader. Later he would serve as President of the Council and HoL Leader in several cabinets.
In 2015 he received a CH for his services for politics and the military. In 2016, as he joined the government, became a member of the Privy Council. In 2017, for his services for politics, he was rewarded with a CBE after serving in Duval's cabinet. He took a break from politics and returned to Inveraray Castle, however not denying that some day, if needed, he will return.
