Personal Life
Meredith was born to Richard Davies and Elizabeth Davies (nee Easton) in 1955. She met Frederick Holmes in 1983, and they married in 1985. The couple had their first child, Brett Holmes, on 19 July 1986. Their second child, Arthur Holmes, followed on 27 September 1989.
Education and Career
Meredith received her undergraduate degree in Immunology from the University of Aberdeen in 1976. In 1977, she then continued on to work at Glenfield Hospital in Lincolnshire. She held a position in the laboratory dedicated to lung cancer research until her death on 6 August 2016.
Death
Meredith was brutally and unexpectedly murdered on 6 August 2016. Her remains were found in a black garbage bag at a waste dump near Darlington.
