The Rt Hon James Nigel Campbell PC (born 18th June 1966) is a British businessman and former politician. He is a member of Clan Campbell, and first cousin to the current Duke of Argyll. He currently lives in Austin, Texas.
Early Life and Education
James was born in Manchester. He is the older son of the former Labour MP and Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Lord Peter Campbell and Margaret Campbell (née Higgins). He is also brother to the former Lady-In-Waiting to the Queen Mother, Sarah Campbell.
James has a Master Degree's on Economics and Management, from the London University of Economics.
Career
Before becoming an MP in 2016, James was an accountant in the Yorkshire Bank.
Upon receiving the invitation by Samuel Faith, in 2016 he won the constituency of Leeds Centre for the Conservatives and was part of Samuel Faith's cabinet as Cabinet Office Minister. He was also part of the team lead by his cousin, the Duke of Argyll, that managed Samuel Faith's campaigns.
After Samuel Faith's resignation, James left both the party and the position of MP and went to the United States of America. He was invited to work in the management of a hotel, currently part of the administration board of The Driskill, in Austin, Texas, as a junior manager.
