Heidi Kashmir

Heidi Kashmir(born 5 March 1983) is a Welsh British politician who served as MP for Monsmouth, Wales since January 2 2020. She was Secretary of Housing from 3 January 2020 to 11 January 2020. A former member of the Conservative Party, she historically defected to the Labour Party in the January elections, altering the election outcomes.

Early Life

Kashmir was born to a Welsh-Iranian family in Monsmouth, Wales, where she is currently an MP of. She was educated at University of Wales Trinity Saint David. Under Quincy Duval's Government, Kashmir was elected Secretary of Housing on 3 January 2020. During her short term as Secretary, Kashmir established the Ministry of Housing.

Early Career

Heidi has been MP for Monsmouth since 2 January 2020. In the most recent election (11 January 2020), she won 22 seats as a Conservative candidate, before defecting to the Labour Party immediately after the results were announced.
