Fern Louise Newton, QPM, born (20th June 1983) was born in the rural town of Grantham. Her mother was a nurse working at the local hospital and her father was a business man; owning his own pub that was passed down by the family for many generations. Recently being elected as MP for Kensington and becoming the Secretary of Health and Social Care.
Early Life[]
Fern was born to landlord Robert Newton and Sandra Newton. She grew up in Grantham for most her childhood, with some trips down to London to see her dad and spend time as a family. She and her younger sister Charlotte in rural Grantham.
Fern attended the same high school as her mother once did; Kesteven & Grantham Girls' School.
Career in Nursing[]
After Fern finished her high school days she attended the local sixth form before making her way to the University of Nottingham to study Nursing, she moved to Nottingham to start her degree in 1995
When she qualified in 1998, she moved back to Lincolnshire and started working in the local A&E in Grantham. After a few years she moved up the Nursing ranks and became a Matron at Boston. Her speciality changed from Emergency Medicine to Haematology and Oncology.
Fern later that year moved to community nursing for a year to gain more knowledge and expertise.
Moving down to London[]
During her time as a community nurse; Fern had find out that her father had passed away. Fern prepared for the funeral which was held in Grantham. She moved down temporarily to help her mother run the pub; The Sir Issac Newton. After a couple of months Fern moved down to London and landed a job as Matron at a local hospital working within the Outpatients departments.
During this time Fern was running the pub, closing it down for a few months to start renovations on the pub to make it more modern and up to date.
Fern was able to acquire two buildings that she would start to plan two new local nightclubs near the pub in order to promote a more cultural nightlife and for local people to enjoy their night out, whatever their age or generation they were born. During this time the two nightclubs that owned had been re-designed and renovated four times up to 2020.
Marriage and Childbirth[]
Fern met her husband at a local nursing night out with her nursing team at a nightclub and had a on and off relationship.
Fern gave birth to her son Oliver Alexander Newton on 1st October 2016.
